A jetting nozzle is the tip of the high-pressure hose that delivers water into the pipe.
Nozzles are purpose-built for different cleaning tasks. The most common types: rotating nozzles (spin during use to clean the full circumference of the pipe), root-cutting nozzles (have sharp angled jets that slice through root masses as the hose moves forward), penetrating nozzles (high-forward thrust for breaking into dense blockages), and flushing nozzles (angled backward to move debris toward the cleanout).
Using the right nozzle for the job matters. A flushing nozzle on a root blockage will not be effective. A root-cutting nozzle on a grease-packed line is overkill. The camera inspection tells us what we are dealing with, which determines the nozzle selection.
Nozzle diameter also matters — smaller lines require smaller nozzles, and you cannot run a nozzle that is too large for the pipe diameter.
