How Long Does Drain Jetting Take?

How Long Does Drain Jetting Take? — Answered by Sunburst Environmental, Metro Atlanta’s drain jetting specialists.

Most residential drain jetting jobs take 1–2 hours.

That includes the camera inspection we run before every jet. The inspection itself takes 20–45 minutes depending on line length and complexity. The actual jetting — clearing the blockage with high-pressure water — usually takes another 30–60 minutes for a standard residential line.

Commercial jobs, longer runs, or severely built-up lines (grease-packed restaurant drains, heavily rooted sewer laterals) can take 2–4 hours or more. If we find something unexpected during the camera inspection — a collapse, a major offset — we’ll stop and tell you before going further, which affects the timeline.

The short version: block out 2 hours for a residential appointment and we’ll usually be done within that window. We’ll give you a more specific time estimate when you call.
