How Deep Can Hydro Jetting Reach?

How Deep Can Hydro Jetting Reach? — Answered by Sunburst Environmental, Metro Atlanta’s drain jetting specialists.

Hydro jetting equipment can reach 150–300 feet or more in a straight run.

Standard residential jetting equipment runs 150–200 feet of hose. For commercial jobs or longer runs, we use heavier equipment that can reach 300+ feet. Line size, bends, and access points all affect how far the jetter can effectively travel and clean.

For most residential sewer laterals in the Atlanta metro area — which typically run 50–150 feet from the house to the city sewer main — standard equipment covers the full length without issue.

The camera inspection and the jetter work together: the camera tells us how long the line is, where the bends are, and where the blockage is located. That information helps us run the jetter efficiently to the right spot rather than guessing.
