Yes — jetting the main sewer line is one of the most common jobs we do.
The main sewer line (your sewer lateral) runs from your house to the city connection — typically 50–150 feet underground. It’s the most consequential drain line on your property because a blockage there affects every fixture in the house simultaneously.
Main line jetting requires a cleanout access point. Most homes have a cleanout near the foundation or in the yard. If you do not have an accessible cleanout, we can sometimes access through a toilet or floor drain, though a cleanout makes the job cleaner and more effective.
We always camera inspect the main line before jetting — both to confirm what we are clearing and to check the pipe’s condition. Main line structural failures (collapse, severe offset) are more serious than a localized clog, and they need to be identified before we run the jetter.
