We tell you straight — a collapsed pipe needs to be replaced, not jetted.
A collapsed pipe is a structural failure. The pipe wall has caved in, the pipe has buckled, or a section has broken apart. Hydro jetting will not fix that, and attempting it on a severely compromised pipe can make things worse.
When the camera shows a collapse, here’s what we do: we stop, show you exactly what the camera is seeing, explain what it means, hand you the footage, and refer you to a plumber who can assess the repair options. We do not charge you for a jetting job we cannot do. We do not try to upsell you into a service you do not need. We tell you what is there and what comes next.
The referral is not just ‘call a plumber.’ We can tell you what the camera found, approximately where in the line (depth and distance from the cleanout), and what type of repair is typically used for that failure mode. That information helps whoever does the repair give you an accurate scope.
This is also why we say: the camera inspection is the most important part of the job. It’s what separates an honest diagnosis from guessing.
